Changing the sidebar width

We often get asked about how you can change the width of the sidebar on Fixie. It's a little complicated, but here's how to do it...

Because the theme is 100% responsive, you’ll need to change the widths for the sidebar and main content area at each screen size (or just the sizes you want) – here’s the code you’ll need to paste into your Custom CSS box (under the Advanced tab on your Customize page) to do this:

@media screen and (min-width: 1024px) {
header, header .center {
width: 33.33%;
}
section, footer {
width: 66.66%;
}
}

@media screen and (min-width: 1420px) {
header, header .center {
width: 25%;
}
section, footer {
width: 75%;
}
}

@media screen and (min-width: 1800px) {
header, header .center {
width: 20%;
}
section, footer {
width: 80%; }
}
}

So, you can adjust the values e.g. 33.33 and 66.66 could become 30 and 70 – just make sure they add up to 100% at the end. The first group is for iPad landscape - laptop size, the second group is for laptop - desktop size, and the last one is for larger displays.
